About The Wine
A special assemblage of 52% Pinot Noir and 48 % Chardonnay grapes was used to create this wine, from the regions of Franschhoek, Robertson and Elgin. 20% of this blend came from reserve wines from previous vintages, specially selected to enhance its intensity, complexity and constancy. 10% of fermentation was done in french-oak barrels, contributing to the rounded attributes and exotic flavours of this wine. This wine spends a minimum of 24 months on the lees before degorgement, at which stage a slightly more generous amount of liqueur de dosage is added, giving it its unique soft flavour and aroma characteristics.
Rating
John Platter Wine Guide 4 Stars: "Charming NV not overtly sweet, faint pink hue from Pinot Noir, vibrant and engaging, with small oaked component."
