About the Wine

Planted in 1954 on dry land bush vine on well-drained shale.  Following secondary (malolactic) fermentation, the wine was gently transferred to 225L barrels for an 11-month maturation period, allowing for the development of complexity and refinement.

 

The wine's captivating red berry aromas are seamlessly intertwined with delicate
oak scents, and are further complemented by sourcherry flavours and herbaceous undertones.  Despite its low alcohol concentration, its refined structure has great palate weight and depth.
